Our first speaker is Stephany Grossbier from Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP). She is an Environmental Enforcement Specialist and will give a presentation on the latest on pesticides for beekeepers to use, the effects of pesticides in agriculture on bees, and what her role is with bees within the DATCP. In addition she will give us info on the Driftwatch program and the wildlife abatement program.

Our second speaker is James Burritt from UW Stout. Him and William will present their findings on their research on the winter kill of bees that we experienced last year.

To round it all out, David Wolske will lead a roundtable discussion on how to prepare our hives for winter. He will share with us what steps he takes and what schedule he follows to prepare his hives for the winter. We invite you to share your tips and tricks with the group.

It should be a very informative meeting and I hope to see you all on Monday, Oct 14th.
